Question: Can I send paging messages over email or the SMTP protocol?Response: Yes, most carriers support the SMTP protocol.In HipLinkXS you first have to define a carrier as a generic email carrier. Select SMTP as the carrier's protocol and provide your email server's IP address or hostname in the "email server" field - for example "mail.company.com".In the receiver settings the PIN number is the full email address. For wireless devices, pager or mobile phones it would typically be PIN@carriername.com.A not exhaustive list follows below:
