Question: I want to move my HiplinkXS installation from one computer to another – with the same Operating System.

Response: The license key you received with your HiplinkXS version is limited to your computer platform. You need to obtain a license for the new computer. You then can run the installer on the new computer and install HiplinkXS normally. Before you uninstall HiplinkXS on your old platform, you should save a copy of the “config” folder, that you find in the HiplinkXS directory. In this folder are the settings files. If you exchange the “config” folder on your new computer platform with this old one, you will find all your settings preserved.

Please note that if you require keeping reports, statistics, log files and sent messages, you also have to backup the corresponding directories, reports, statistics, logs, completed and failed. Please check if the “paging” directory is empty of files that start with “M.” or “R.” – these are uncompleted message and haven’t been successfully sent. They should be conserved as well or you should wait till they have been sent.
