Long Message
Q.: I am sending a long message, but the device receives only the first few words, the rest of the message is cut off – what might be the problem? A.: In the carrier settings there is a field that can be set to maximum message length. The maximum message length should usually be set to the value that the carrier provides, since the carrier doesn’t accept messages longer than that. That means the value is set too low for your message and could be set higher – please find out the value for your carrier. HipLinkXS also allows splitting the message into many parts. There are parameters in the carrier settings as well, where you can define these. You can define if the message, if it is too long, should be truncated or split into parts and what the maximum for the parts should be before truncating the rest. |
